    Display, remote, kit…: how to find your way?

    On our site, you can find several types of spare parts:

    • - The display: This is the display unit alone. It receives information from the motor and the battery (speed, range, assist mode, walk assist, error messages). Some latest-generation displays connect to apps like Bosch ebike Flow or Shimano E-Tube Project Cyclist for extra features like navigation or performance analysis.

    • - The remote: The small box with buttons located near your grip. If defective, you can replace it by contacting a bike repairer. On some recent models (like the Bosch LED Remote), the remote can work alone, without a display.

    • - The upgrade kit: A complete set including the display, its handlebar mount, and sometimes the necessary wiring to transform a bike with a simple screen into a connected bike.

    Which display to choose?

    For bike displays, interoperability between brands almost doesn't exist. If your bike is equipped with a Bosch motor, you must choose a Bosch display. The same applies to other brands like Shimano, Yamaha, Brose...

    Even within the same brand, compatibility is not systematic. For example, an Intuvia 100 (Bosch Smart System) will never work on an old Performance Line system.

    Before buying, always check your motor system name (e.g., Shimano EP801 or Bosch Smart System) and your cable plug type. We indicate display compatibility on each product sheet.

    Beyond compatibility, the choice depends on several criteria:

    • - Your needs: for MTB, prefer a compact and robust screen (like Kiox or Shimano EN600) placed behind the handlebar to avoid breakage. For city use, a large comfortable screen like the Intuvia is ideal.

    • - If you want to pair your smartphone, ensure the display is Bluetooth compatible and supports navigation (GPS).

    • - Power supply: some screens are self-powered by a battery (like the Intuvia 100), others are wired directly to the bike battery.

    Display technology determines comfort and price. Use the table below for guidance:

    - Excellent readability in direct sunlight.

    LCD Display (e.g.: Bosch Intuvia, Kiox) True digital screen displaying numbers, text, and graphics (speed, distance, navigation).

    - Black & White: Maximum contrast and very efficient.
    - Color: Hierarchical reading and high-quality GPS mapping.

    		 - More fragile in case of a fall.
    - Higher purchase cost.

    When to change your bike display?

    If your display stops working, replacement is simple: buy the same model. Upgrading is possible on some models:

    • For Bosch: You can often switch from an Intuvia 100 to a Kiox 300 or 500 for GPS and color display.

    • For Shimano: Moving from a simple LED junction to an SC-EN600 color screen is possible with compatible cables.
