Known for the reliability of its motors and batteries, the brand Yamaha equips the biggest e-bike brands (Haibike, Peugeot, Lapierre...).
How do I know if my Yamaha e-bike battery is dead?
Several signs are clear indicators: a sudden loss of range, assistance cutting out while climbing a hill, or indicator lights flashing abnormally on your display. If your battery is more than 4 or 5 years old or has been stored for a long time without being charged, its lithium cells may have deteriorated.

Which Yamaha battery should I choose for my bike?
The choice mainly depends on the position on your frame:
-
- Frame batteries (External): Classic models (400Wh or 500Wh) that clip onto the down tube. For 400Wh batteries, the reference on your battery must be PASB2 B94-20 or PASB2 B94-21. For 500Wh batteries, the references are PASB5 BOS-21 or PASB5 BOS-20.
-
- Rear rack batteries: Often found on city or trekking bikes. The reference indicated on your battery must be X94-PASB5.
-
- Integrated batteries (InTube): Hidden inside the frame for a sleek design. The reference indicated must be X1R-00-PASB6.
Always check the voltage (usually 36V) and connectors. At Doctibike, we offer original Yamaha batteries for perfect compatibility, as well as certified compatible versions to increase your capacity (Wh) at a lower cost.
