Bosch Powerpack batteries come in several versions:
- Frame batteries: these are positioned as close as possible to the bike's centre of gravity. This has a positive effect on pedalling behaviour.
- Luggage rack batteries: these make it easier and safer to get on and off your bike, for frames with a low step-over.
These include the Bosch Powerpack 300, 400 and 500, all of which feature technology to protect against overcharging, overheating, undervoltage or short circuits. However, they differ in terms of power, capacity and type of use.

For journeys around town
The Bosch PowerPack 300 battery has a reliable, long-lasting energy reservoir with no memory effect and minimal self-discharge. With a power output of 288Wh, it's ideal for velotafing and urban cycling.
Available as a frame or luggage rack, it's designed to make it easy to remove and recharge your battery.
Allow around 2.5 hours for a full charge and just 1 hour for a 50% charge.

The Bosch Powerpack 400 is easy to install and remove. Its 400Wh of power makes it a reliable, high-performance companion for your outings in the great outdoors. For long distances
The same size as the Bosch Powerpack 400 bicycle battery, the Bosch PowerPack 500 is just as light but offers greater energy density. Let yourself be tempted by its 482Wh of power and its range of up to 230km in ideal conditions for long-distance cycling!
It will take you 4.5 hours to fully charge your Powerpack 500 with a standard charger, and around 2 hours to half-charge your lithium-ion battery.
The PowerPack 500 is available in frame and luggage rack versions.
Bosch Powertube bicycle battery
The Powertube range will meet every cyclist's requirements in terms of performance and aesthetics. With their compact size and minimalist design, they blend in perfectly with the look of your bike. As well as looking good, these batteries also provide a large amount of energy so you can ride effortlessly.
They are available in frame and luggage rack versions, and are fitted with a safety device to prevent the batteries from falling out, although they are still easy to handle.
For urban excursions
Ride around town with the PowerTube 400 battery, which fits in perfectly with the unique design of your E-bike thanks to its compact dimensions and minimalist structure.

Bosch bicycle batteries: where are they placed?
Your Bosch bicycle battery can be placed in three different positions:
- The Powertube can be integrated into the frame of your bike, and is compatible with a wide variety of frames. Not visible from the outside, it remains discreet and keeps your bike looking sleek.
- The frame Powerpack is positioned at your cycle's centre of gravity, giving it great stability and a positive effect on your riding.
- The luggage rack Powerpack is located in the luggage rack of your cycle. It is often used on frames with a low step-over to make it easier to get on and off the bike.
Bosch batteries: how long do they last?
The lifespan of Bosch batteries is influenced by the type and duration of their use. They are designed to withstand many years of use and have an electronic management system to prevent overheating, overcharging and deep discharge. What are the best practices for charging?
Bosch batteries can be partially recharged at any time, and charging interruptions will not damage them. As these batteries have no memory effect, a full discharge is not necessary.
Charging the Powertube or Powerpack batteries is simple: simply remove them from your ebike or charge them on the bike. We recommend charging at a temperature of between 10 and 20°C.
If you need to store your electrically-assisted bicycle, we also recommend that you keep the charge level between 30 and 60% and avoid direct contact with sunlight.
