Electric bike display: How do I choose a BMZ display?
The display is the screen used to control your electric bike. This screen performs basic functions such as switching on your ebike, checking the level of assistance or displaying the charge level of your battery.
As a real on-board interface, a display is essential, but there are a number of subtleties to be aware of when choosing one! For example, BMZ offers several types of display for Kalkhoff, Brose and Agattu bikes, and it's essential to know the differences between them.

Make sure your BMZ Display is compatible with your electric bike
The most important step is to ensure that the Display you want is compatible with your electric bike. You'll need to choose the right adapter cable.
To do this, we recommend :
- 1- Check the colour of the motor plug
- 2 - Check the colour of the display connector you wish to have
- 3 - Choose the adaptor recommended in the table
Here's an example:
- 1) Louise wants to change her display for a Brose Display Allround. She checks the colour of her motor plug, which is grey.
- 2) Then she checks the colour of the connector on her original display, which is purple.
- 3) Using the table, Louise deduces that she will need to buy a Gen 2 Adapter with a HIGO connector to connect her future Brose Display Allround to her E-bike.

Choosing your BMZ Display
The second step is to choose your control screen according to the type of use and functions you are looking for.
Display BMZ DS103
This BMZ DS103 3.5-inch colour display is clearly legible and adapted to the cyclist's field of vision. It comes with a remote control that lets you keep your hands on the handlebars while displaying information that's relevant to the rider:
- Current speed
- Maximum speed
- Average speed
- Trip mileage
- Total mileage
- Journey time
Several modes are also available:
- Eco

This display is simple and self-explanatory. It is universal for Brose Can operators and replaces the Brose Marquardt Just Drive 3 Display, which is no longer available.

Display Brose AllRound
The BMZ Display Allround is a 1.5-inch colour screen. Although it's compact, it has good visibility and remains practical in all weather conditions. In fact, its unique design with its slight curvature prevents extreme reflections.

Display BMZ Small Cockpit
This 1.77-inch TFT colour screen displays important information with high contrast. It comes with a remote control with 4 buttons for navigating the menu. The brightness of the screen is automatically adjusted to the lighting conditions in your environment using a built-in sensor.

Display BMZ BLOKS 14D
The BMZ BLOKS 14D screen is an LCD display. This is monochrome and uses high contrast to convey important information with its 1.4-inch display.
Remote control is represented by a rocker switch: the display can be pressed up for the "+" function and down for the "-" function.

Display BMZ New Style Trekking
This BMZ New Style display shares similar characteristics to the Display Bloks 14D: LCD and monochrome screen. However, it is larger and can be mounted anywhere on the handlebars.
